FILM 115 FRI LECTURE NOV 2 The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance Ransom ended up being many prestigious jobs based on one act of violence, based on the fact that everyone thought he shot Liberty Valance. Political philosophy in a crucial scene, where Nora (the Swedish lady) defines America’s government to be by the people for the people. Narrative, narration, narrator “Moonrise” directed by Frank Borzagi (1948?) A film where redemption is possible graphic match of the dad being hanged and the hanging doll by the baby’s crib o the concept is that the sins of the father follow the child. Can the child get out of it? Borzagi uses visual and sound clues that tell us that time has been condensed from a narrative point of view and the kid from the beginning has become his father. He doesn’t actually tell us anything. “The Wedding Planner” Opening sequence shows us that the character is a professional woman, which is often used in comedies. In the church, there is one long take that follows the character around.
