Jordan Alexander Areas of Authority My area of authority is foot related injury because of my many experiences with having a twisted, rolled or sprained ankle and my flat feet. The amount of times i have had an ankle injury and the pain in my feet i get on a daily basis from being flat footed gives me a lot of experience on dealing with injured ankles and dealing with ankle pain. My area of authority is drinking cold glass of cran grape juice in the morning with my breakfast. My area of authority is existing by myself with only my mind to keep me company Individual Experiences One late spring evening, as the sun was setting, he threw the baseball, a perfect arc, right into my faux-leather, well- loved glove for the last time. His elbow had broken severely. He had ignored his doctor’s orders to rest and let his arm heal from his previous injury, and decided it was a good idea to come to baseball practice. This was his final season in high school as well. Had he stayed home and rested, he would have been ready for the season. Now with this re-injury, his baseball career is over. My best friend lost his baseball scholarship because he wasn’t set to make a full recovery until the start of his college season. All of his life’s work is now lost. He threw away his athletic future because he didn’t want to listen to his doctor. This was my friend’s greatest flaw; he did not listen to people when they gave him advice. 1. Every word is not needed. (Had, now, want) 2. Shattered instead of broken, nullified instead of threw away 3. All of the nouns are used effectively 4. Concrete details are used. The paragraph tells you that the friend broke his elbow during baseball practice in the evening and lost his athletic scholarship. 5. The only images that were used were the sunset and the broken elbow 6. The paragraph doesn’t make you see what it is talking about. 7. If this paragraph was the first paragraph of a book, I would not keep reading it. Verbs Eat Sleep Yell Cry Drink Type Write Work Cook Walk Talk

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
