COURSE OBJECTIVES
The objective of the course is to introduce students to various concepts and principles
applicable in financial management. The course will also introduce students to
techniques applied by business financial managers in various aspects of financial
analysis and decision-making.
This is a foundation course in Business Finance whose topics and coverage shall
provide a basis for understanding related courses at advanced levels. ACC 100
(Introduction to Accounting) is a mandatory prerequisite for this course.
COURSE FORMAT/ METHODOLOGY
The major forms of instruction will be lectures and tutorials. There will be at least
three (3) lecture hours and one (1) tutorial per week per group.
