The term "aerobic" implies that the oxygen necessary to accomplish the work is taken up by the individual during the activity. Aerobic fitness refers to endurance, or the ability to sustain work for prolonged periods. Why is aerobic fitness important? Aerobic fitness is important for health, fitness, and quality of life. Normal daily activities and recreational and sport activities require our heart and lungs to delivery oxygen and nutrients to and from the muscles. What suggestions will you make to a person going to the FIT lab for VO2 max test? Do not eat or exercise vigorously for 3 hours prior to testing. Bring or wear exercise gear and extra set of clothes to change People with which of the following risk factors will not be given exercise tests by fit?
