Section 8.3 derives the energy equation for flow in a pipe of general cross section; well derived this in class, a little differently but basically the same equation. Sections 8.48.8 cover the appropriate correlations for different boundary conditions and geometries for internal flows. Chapter 9. Sections 9.19.5 give an overview of the mathematics; we will cover sections 9.1, 9.2, and most of 9.3 in class. Sections 9.4 and 9.5 will be discussed conceptually. Sections 9.69.8 cover the correlations that we have introduced in class, these sections as with the prior correlation sections should be reviewed to understand when and where the correlation is valid....
