Forensic Anthropologist What are other duties of a forensic anthropologist? We only looked at using bones for identification of a missing person. What are some of the other possible job responsibilities of someone in this career field? They study bones, a field known as osteology, and profile research subjects by gathering information used to determine the individual's age at death, sex and physical condition. Forensic anthropologists may also assist in excavating and relocating human remains, performing dental analysis, determining time of death, assessing trauma to bones and presenting expert testimony in court. They are expected to use scientific standards in their work. What do you think would be the most satisfying part of this job? Why? Studying the bodies to connect it to missing people. It is fun and very satisfying to find a missing person and would help build moral character and bring peace to families.
