Kelsey Jans IBM 301 2/22/08 Marketing Channels: How to market Jeans 1. Support a cause. Various designers and companies have supported a cause such as breast cancer. By supporting a cause, it creates a spotlight on that company and the company receives more attention creating a higher sales and a higher profit from these sales. 2. Market to your target audience by using magazines. The ad must be captivating and must get the attention of the reader. The ad in the magazine should relate to the magazine as well. By relating the ad to the magazine it creates a higher chance of getting the attention of the reader. A reader purchases a magazine because of its attributes and if your ad matches one of the attributes that triggered the consumer to purchase the magazine it may cause the consumer to be more interested in your product. 3. Support different events or sporting events ( surfing, skating…etc.) or possibly concerts that can relate to your jeans. If your jeans have a rock and roll vibe, most likely you would support a rock concert event, etc. The jeans will be seen as relating to rock and roll therefore the rock and
