Poetic Terms & Background IV.1a & IV.1b Assignment 1. Alliteration: Bob cooks cookies, caramels, and cupcakes for Christmas. 2. Assonance: People need to slow down when you go over a hill on a road. 3. Consonance: Cassie’s right foot left a print on the carpet. 4. Onomatopoeia: The door cracking and creaking startled everyone. 5. Rhythm: T’was the night before Christmas, and all through the night. 6. Rhyme: Hold up, wait a minute, all good just a week ago Crew at my house and we party every weekend so. The Renaissance period originated in Italy, during the time period of the Middle Ages, all the way to the seventeenth century. The Romanticism period began in Germany and England in the eighteenth and nineteenth century. Each time period differed on how they approached art. The Renaissance period was influenced by literature, philosophy, art, music, politics, science, and religion. They focused on realism and human emotion. Artists such as Leonardo Di Vinci and Donatello used painting to show human emotions.
