Stirewalt Project #5 Description – This will be the most difficult of the 6 projects, so don’t delay • Actually not that difficult, just a lot of moving parts – Questions and answers will be posted to project web site Tips on getting started: – Meet soon (i.e., today) to formulate plan of attack so as to maximize concurrency – Consider using a configuration mgmt tool (e.g., CVS or svn) CSE 450: Compilers K. Stirewalt Suggested plan of attack. .. Unfortunately, there is no silver bullet here, as the plan depends a lot on how you’ve designed your compiler thus far – E.g., if you’ve designed a good and extensive syntax tree representation, then should be trivial to implement each new semantic analysis as a separate tree traversal – E.g., if you’ve only implemented syntax trees for expressions, then new semantic analyses will interleave existing actions, and teammates will need to be careful to avoid conflicting changes Still, there are plenty of opportunities for structuring your
