Biodeversity And Conservation Biodiversity can be thought of as the tips pf the branches on the tree of life ( all disitinctive species living today ) o T hree levels of biodiversity 1 . Genetic Diversity : is the total genetic information contained within all individuals of species and is measured as the number and relative frequency of alleles present in a species 2 . Species diversity - varity of life forms on earth - taxonimic diverisity - they attempt to incorporate the evolutionary relationship among the species present . EX, some tree of life are species rich while others may represent a single species 3. Ecosystem diversity – is the variety of biotic communities in region along with abiotic communities , such as soil and water and nutrients T he importance of biodiversity include ways and presence of many species benefits humans directly and ways that biodiversity aids humans indirectly by contributing to healthu overall environment Direct benefits of biodiversity is it provides goods and services wild species have provided the raw material to fuel the continues development of human society . vast tracts of forest have been felled for building materials and fuel; wild plants have selectively bred to yield food and fibers Indirect benefits of biodiversity : ecosystem services: process the increase the quality of the a biotic environment Biologist study biodevirsitty using the linage, the linage or the tree of life are veterbratesm flowering plants, conifers The basic approach to studying biodiversity of quantifying gentics is to collect tissue samples from many individuals withing a population or species , isolate proteins or dan

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
