Recipe Writing Lesson Plan Objective: At the end of this lesson students will be able to understand the proper form of a recipe as well as be able to write their own recipes in the correct order, with measurements, ingredients and specific instructions. Students will practice their writing of recipes by writing a recipe for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Through this activity the teacher will follow a student’s recipe exactly, this may result in the teacher opening up the bread back backwards and taking bread from the middle and the end, or placing the jar of peanut butter on the bread. This activity will result in teaching the students the importance of using specific, detailed instructions to be able to get the specific result they want. Students will also have an opportunity through classroom and group discussion to creatively come up with specific measurements to fit their recipe for the perfect Saturday. They will have already narrowed down their favorite Saturday activities to one in the morning, afternoon and night. The lesson
