Hello fellow classmates, my name is Ashley. I live in a small town called Hull, Georgia. It’s about ten minutes for Athens, Georgia, home of the Georgia Bulldogs, that what I have to tell people when I explaining where I live. I am mother of two wonderful boys who are 14 and 11. They both keep me very busy with their sporting events and school actives. When I have spare time, I like to read (whenever I have the time), shop, sing, spending time with my family and doing work in the church. This is my second year here at Ashford. I am taking up social and criminal justice in hopes of becoming a probation officer or working with children with troubling backgrounds. The movie that I can think of that had an impact on me was the movie, For Colored Girls. For me the movie showed you never know what is going on with someone in their personal lives. People can be close to you or even work for you and one never know what problems they are having. I think this movie shows people that sometimes you need to stop to speak to people that work for or with you to see if you can help them in some type of way. At the end of the day one never know what someone is going through or how you can impact that person life just by words of encouragement. Hello Amanda, I too am a sucker for scary movies, but for me I prefer them to be in color. I love to turn off all the lights, pop some popcorn, turn the speakers on the entertainment system and enjoy my movie. My family always ask way do I like sitting in the dark and watching scary movie by myself. I too have tattoos and know how it feels to be looked at and judged. With me working in the church I get quoted the Bible verse that talks about having tattoos. Like I always tell them “it’s not the tattoos that make me it’s my character what made me and you guys like what I do”. Congrats on being halfway finish with school. What to you plan on doing when you are finish? Good luck in this class and hope to interacting with you more. Ashley, Hello Leslie, I have seen the movie “The Butler”, I was a very good movie. I agree it showed what African American felt and went through during those time. Yes, society has come a long what but we definitely have a long way to go. In today’s society a lot of younger people have no idea what their history is, regardless what race they are. I think leaning about different cultures and history will help one to have a different perspective on what people had to go through and how they have impacted this country. What type of business would you like to open up? Ashley, Editing The Baptism Murders- The Godfather (1972), starts off at a baptism. As the character is witnessing the baptism he is reflecting on different murders that have taking place. The movie shows different shots were he is watching the ceremony and murders are taking place or have taking place. (I have not seen any part of this movie. I am basing my speculation on the clip that I saw). You get the feeling that maybe

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
