In this workshop, you will (1) choose the right type of resume; (2) develop the components of the resume; (3) format your resume with a professional look; (4) learn how to distribute your resume electronically; and (5) explore additional resume writing resources. 1. Resume Types: Here you will determine what type of resume (chronological, functional, or combination) is right for you given your career goals and job history. 2. Content Development: Here you will do some preliminary job research, then work through creating all the components that go into your resume, including header, objective, education, and experience sections. 3. Professional Formatting: Here you will learn how to professionally format your resume, including paper selection, proper fonts, and text alignment. 4. Electronic Distribution: Here you will learn about ways to distribute your resume electronically, including as a web site, e-mail attachment, and through web-based job searching sites. 5. Additional Resources: Here you can read through frequently asked questions, look at additional web sites and books on the topic, and see sample resumes. 6.
