Supervise a small team of reporters who cover the area's most newsworthy stories What do radio reporters do? - Cover from 1 to 5 different stories (by phone & field). - Formal beats aren't practical as there's too much news and not enough reporters Producers. - Supervise newscast material - Discuss & select the day's top stories during the morning news meeting TV Reporters Smaller station:  cover half a dozen stories Larger station:  focus on 1 to 2 stories daily -Work side-by-side with photographers How long can it take to produce a typical 90-second story?
