General Grading Guidelines : Exams (2) = 50% Homework and Quizzes = 15% Programming Assignments = 30% In-Class participation = 5% Course objectives: This course is designed to give students an understanding of the commonalities and di±er- ences among programming languages. Various factors that contribute to the design of a programming language will be covered. Students will have an opportunity to write software in programming languages from di±erent programming paradigms, including functional, logic, and imperative. There are two major goals to be achieved by the end of the semester.
