Whenever I fall behind in my education, I often find cheating an easy way to get through my hectic schedule. Fortunately, I have never tasted the dreadful consequences of taking the shortcut; instead I received a crucial experience that I will never forget. My cheating experience was preceded by numerous events that had led up to this illegal action. I had just come back to my fifth grade class after being absent for a few days. In the past nights, my mom had given me lists of assignments covered in class in those days while I was recovering. The lists itself were not as long, but with a nasal congestion and a bloated head ready to burst, there was nothing I can do. Returning to class, I noticed that most of my homework was to be graded in class that very same day. I spoke with my teacher and she said that I was allowed an extra few days to work on it. As I returned to my seat while my classmates traded workbooks to be graded, an idea was formed in my head. Why not take “special” notes while the teacher reads off the answers, I asked myself. Suddenly, quick flashbacks of infomercials I had recently watched influenced my decision. I remembered how persuasive their quotes were and how I wished I had bought myself one of their products just for the bragging rights. I wanted
