Tyann Avery Pay It Forward OutlineCOMS1030January 25,2017Introduction:I was raised in a family where giving back to others was a nonnegotiable. There have been many Thanksgiving’s & Christmases where I have donated my time cooking and feeding for families, spent time wrapping gifts for families less fortunate than mine etc. My mother constantly made sure that I didn’t become too entitled with my lifestyle and remained humble. While completing this project I have learned more about myself, my effect onothers, and how something so small as a hug could turn a person’s gloomy day into a bright one. Pay It Forward #1a) I decided that I would brighten someone’s day while I was at the College Bookstore on Court St. I was walking by the textbook section, I kind of overheard a girl on the phone with her mother telling her she didn’t know how she was going to be able to afford the book and she looked in distressed. It just so happened the book she was needing I had in my dorm just sitting at the top of my closet. I told her if she needed it and couldn’t afford it I would give her my used copy for free. b) I felt compelled to help the young lady who was clearly trying to figure outif she was financially able to pay for her book.
