President Lincoln also talks about the importance of peace in our nation and exaggerates how important it really is. Lastly, Lincoln talks about the avoidance of slavery and racism in attempt to bring both blacks and whites closer together by stating “With malice toward none; with charity for all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nation's wounds; to care for him whoshall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan to do all which may achieve and cherish a just, and a lasting peace, among ourselves, and with all nations.”During President Obama’s “A more perfect union” speech he expresses values by expressing unity and equality within the world. President Obama backs his statement by talking about his parents
