eLogs Instructions for StudentseLogs is a clinical tracking tool which you will use to enter your all of your clinical data. The eLogs system tracks your clinical time by adding the time you enter for each encounter. This total amount becomes your proof of clinical time for each course and for your portfolio. It is recommended that you enter your encounters into eLogs at the end of your clinical day or as soon as possible. You must be documenting weekly. It is required that you have entered 50 hours of clinical time in eLogs at the end of Week 4. All eLogs entries must be completed by Wednesday Week 8 at 11:59 p.m. (MST), there are no extensions. Students enter clinical information, which includes time, through two tabs in eLogs.Tab #1: New Encounter- Enter patient data here. You must do this for every patient you see in clinical. Each patient entry includes a number/minute’sbox, this is where you enter the amount of time you spend on this patient encounter.
