It is possible to examine the location of DNA and tubulin in the same cell by treating with methanol and then double-staining with DAPI and both mouse anti-tubulin and fluorescein-conjugated sheep anti-mouse. The DAPI will stain the nucleus blue and the tubulin antibodies will be bound by mouse antibodies which will be fluorescent green staining the tubulin green. For viewing the DAPI use the UV filter and for viewing the tubulin use the blue filter cube. 2. It is possible to examine the location of actin and tubulin in the same cells by treating with methanol and then double-staining with rhodamine phalloidin and both mouse anti- tubulin and fluorescein-conjugated sheep anti-mouse. The rhodamine phalloidin will stain the actin red and the tubulin antibodies will be bound by mouse antibodies which will be fluorescent green staining the tubulin green. For viewing the actin use the green filter cube and for viewing the tubulin use the blue filter cube. 3.
