Man Kiu Chu COM 413 Maurisz Ozminkowski, Ph.D. 2:06 p.m. – 3:40 p.m. 10/07/07 Propaganda Example: MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) The propaganda example I am using is the Mutual UFO Network of United States. From reporting of the latest daily sightings to the history of the legendary saucers of World War II, this association is the central systematic network for communicating Unidentified Flying Objects across the nation. Their values are very simple: it is dedicated to the Scientific Study of UFOs for the benefit of Humanity. It showed a great deal of struggle ever since the famous incident in Area 51. It was rumored that the government is trying to cover the existence of the UFO. However, many thought that there are true existences of other life forms outsides of this oxygen filled atmosphere. According to their websites their goals are to, “Investigate UFO sightings and collect the data in the MUFON Database for use by researchers worldwide.

Also, they would hold annual Symposium to existing members and the media to cover the latest controversial issues surrounding the UFO communities. Different kinds of communicating media are being used since the beliefs of UFOs, such as documentaries, homemade UFO sightings, books, etc that is very easy to get access to. Their message is not aggressive, but due to the human nature, their curiosity made it possible for them to have motivation to find answers and information to something that is absolutely unknown about....
