Canadian political system in comparative perspective and trends in Canada's political development. Course Learning Objectives/Outcomes Students in this Course will develop understanding of Canada's role in the world. How domestic political history, political culture and evolving values of modernity and geopolitical factors inform Canada’s foreign policies past, present and future are addressed in depth. Through this course students will be prepared for careers in government and international affairs. Class Schedule Lecture 1 - January 9 1. Introduction to POLI1P93 “Canada and the Global Community” - Course Learning Objectives/Outcomes 2. What’s Past is Prologue: history and culture and being Canadian NB : Attend this first lecture.
