The pros, cons and limitations Wind energy is not the major method to provide electricity to humanity society. However, in last decade, wind energy has seen a huge, rapid growth and it has a great potential in providing electricity. Wind energy has many advantages but there are also have some disadvantages and limitations. Pros 1. Renewable Wind energy is a renewable energy. Wind comes from the processes of nuclear fusion that occurs on the sun. When the sun heat up the earth, it makes different places have different temperatures. So that it produces the warm and cold air, and warm and cold will produce a flow which is wind. In other word, when the sun still exists, the wind also blows. 2. Clean energy Wind energy is a clean energy. It does not use any destructive chemicals and it does not make the pollution as fossil fuels and coal when it is generating power. 3. Low operational cost After the wind turbines have been manufactured and installed, the operational cost will tend to be low. It is because wind is free. It does not need any mining
