Sarah Finley 29 April 2016 Case Study 2: Diabetes Your patient was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was five years old. As he grew up, he had been monitoring and balancing his blood sugars by diet and lifestyle. Although in his young adult years, he got involved with the wrong crowd and began drinking in excess and participating in illicit drugs. A few years of bad experience has led him to stop using drugs; however, he still is a regular alcohol consumer. During those years, he picked up poor dietary habits by going out to eat at convenience store snacks or fast food for every meal. Unfortunately, with his busy lifestyle as a computer programmer working 70+ hours weekly, he has maintained these poor dietary
