A Paradigm of a Healing Hospital Benchmark: Gospel Essentials Introduction For years now the Christian worldview has been questioned. However, God is bigger than any human being in all aspects. It is impossible to understand God and his actions. Many have tired answering the questions of how we got here, why is there pain and suffering in the world, who created our universe, is there an afterlife, and many more. Even scientist have put theories to test these questions. Through this all, the Christian worldview has stood strong and consistent when these questions come upon. God Us, as humans cannot ever understand God’s greatness entirely simply because it is past our knowledge. Nevertheless, we do have knowledge of different parts of God. Paul describes God being wise and his wisdom for Roman 11:33 says, “Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his way!” God has many characteristics. In Psalm 145 God is described as might, faithful, compassionate, and righteousness. Some characteristics that are used to describe God are eternal, unchanging, holy, love, good, and wise. “God the creator existed before his creation and is therefore sovereign, having supreme authority and absolute power over all things” (Lecture 2, 2015). The entire world and everything in it stands as God’s creation. In Genesis, God created the heavens and earth by speaking all things into existences. According to Kooi (2016), “He is the Creator of this world and as such the world is his property, literally his domain” (p. 49). He created all of life. God created all of the plants, animals, and man. Man was made with purpose and in God’s own image. Humanity 2

A Paradigm of a Healing Hospital Human nature is what makes us clearly human and different from the animals. The ability to think and feel comes from our human nature, making us different from animals and other creatures. “God’s purpose for humanity-to reconcile people to himself through rescue, redemption, and renewal” (Lecture 5, 2015). Humans have many purposes but the main purpose is to be in a relationship with God. “One of the most powerful concepts of the Christian worldview is the truth revealed in Genesis 1:26-27 that humanity was created in the image of God − spirit beings like Him” (Lecture 2, 2015). People are one of a kind between all of God’s creatures being that they are created in his image and the only ones able to have relation with him. Each person has their own special purpose God gifted them with. God
