FAMILY INTERVIEW – COMPARE AND CONTRASTFamily Interview - Compare and Contrast Cultures PaperThere is no question as to the importance of being able to communicate with others. Dealing with individuals from different backgrounds poses numerous challenges that must be resolved in order to deliver quality patient care. For the first interview, a 40-year-old married woman was chosen. She offers the wisdom, knowledge and diversity of being a Dominican Evangelical Christian who is the Vice-President (VP) for a big non-profit company, and lives in the suburbs of Long Island. For the second interview a male family member in his mid thirties who is a Police Officer was chosen for his ways of not practicing his family religion and still claiming to be a Catholic. This paper will summarize both interviews conducted, it will compare and contrast the answers given in both interviews, and it will conclude on how family roles affectthe cultural domains and relationships for each of them.Mrs. J was is well educated and is a VP for a major non-profit that funds smaller non-profit agencies. The family/gender roles in her family are not very well defined. She has a large role in the decision-making but for their religion her husband is seen as the head of the household.
