Please come to office hours if you have questions about the problems. 1. Shown is a schematic diagram for a 3-bit resistor string DAC. It is controlled by a 3-bit word of binary signals b 0 , b 1 , b 2 . Each signal is either 0 or 1 and b 0 is the LSB (least significant bit). All the resistors have the same value R. a. Mark the control signal (b 0 , b 1 , b 2 ) for each switch. b. What is the step size V of the converter as a function of V ref ? c. Each resistor has the same value R. Write an expression of the output voltage as a function of V ref and b 0 , b 1 , b 2 . d. What is the value of V out for V ref =1V and b 0 =0, b 1 =1, b 2 =1? e.
