Unformatted text preview: Fernando Ferreira Professor Andrew bolt English 201 03/24/2008 A Raisin in the Sun part III With our presentation of Raisin in the Sun we were trying to show to the class the changes that occurred in the characters during the play. That’s the reason why we chose to act the scene we did. It shows Walter finally getting a hold of himself and taking pride in who he is and what they have, especially what they had accomplished. Before that moment he would only complain about his situation but would never think about all the troubles that his family had to go through to even allow him to be where he was. Another interesting point that we tried to make was the importance of the plant in the play, the one that Mama takes care of even though the light in the apartment is not enough for it to grow. Even though we did not touch that during the acting part of our presentation, we brought it up in our activity because I believe it is an important metaphor to the family itself that struggled to live in that small...
