Section 2.1 problem 5 page # 42 largest value is 52 I found the largest value used smallest value is 10 I found the smallest value used 52-10 = 42/5 (5 classes)= 8.4 = 9 Then I subtract small value from large value then divided by 2, then rounded up to the next value Class Limits Lower Upper Tally Frequency Midpoint 10 19lllll l 6 14.5 20 29lllll lllll lllll lllll lllll lllll lll 33 24.5 30 39lllll lllll llll 14 34.5 40 49l 1 44.5 50 59l 1 54.5 I came up with the midpoints by adding the lower and upper classes together and the dividing by 2
