Alex S Todd Supply Chain Sustainability November 20, 2016 Heinz Sustainability Heinz is definitely focused on ethics and sustainability. What I like most about Heinz is that they undoubtedly have fostered a culture of integrity. Their roots stretch back to 1869 when founder Henry Heinz started the company and led with a pledge of developing a culture of trying to do the right thing. It was unheard of a company providing medical benefits to their employees at that time but Heinz provided for doctors, dentist and nurses on site for their employees. Heinz in its early history was also known for its support and advocating of the Pure Food and Drug Act, which regulated the quality of processed food in the US. In its more modern history Heinz has only strengthened its stance and strategy to continue its rich history of ethical and integrity standards. I especially like how they have corporately made a strong statement with its 5 Guidepost of Ethics and Compliance.
