Gabriel Sandoval Sociology Unit 6 lab 3/30/17 Cotton Poor Kids <- your lab link 1. What are some of the effects of being poor for kids? Describe what life is like for the kids shown in the video. Write at least two paragraphs describing the effects on children and teens. Some kids have to take cold showers because their parents can’t pay the water bills. Their electricity will shut off because of the same reason. Some families lose their things because they put things in storage and the families cannot afford to pay the storage. Some kids cannot get three meals a day because their family cannot afford food. The children will also not have many toys to play with and have to make things out of sticks and mud to keep themselves entertained. The children have to rely on their parents for haircuts and clothes. One family had children who would walk around and collect cans for money. Kids have to worry about starving. Kids have to give up money that they earn themselves. Kids have to give up their pets because their parents can’t
