Individual Assignment II 1. A marketing research company did a study on whether consumers click on an advertisement within a mobile app. They are particularly interested to see whether cellphone platforms affect consumers’ click choices. Here is the table they have presented in their white paper. No Click Click iPhone 33 79 Android 74 135 Please conduct cross-tab analysis to discuss this table. Are iPhone users or Android users more likely to click on the ads? In the sample, 70.5% of iPhone users clicked on the ads while 64.3% percent of Android users clicked on the ads. iPhone users are much more likely to click on the ads. A startup company just decided to launch their app on one of the platforms due to their resource constraint. Their main revenue is from the in-app advertising. Do you have enough information to make a recommendation to the mobile app developer? If yes, please make your recommendation and explain why. If not, please conduct necessary follow up analysis to make your recommendation and explain why. It’s not enough to make a decision based on the cross-tab analysis as this is sample level information. We need to make recommendation based on population level information. So we should conduct chi-square test to determine at population level if the platform affects people’s likelihood to click on the ads. Step 1: null hypothesis: there is no relationship between the cell phone platform and whether people click on the ads or not.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
