The Veteran’s Choice Program provides $5 billion in mandatory funding for VA to hire physicians and other medical personnel and improve VA’s physical infrastructure. The Act also provides $10 billion in mandatory funding to establish ea temporary program ("Veterans Choice Act") improving Veterans’ access to health care by allowing eligible Veterans who meet certain wait-time or distance standards to use health care providers outside of the VA system. Then explain what it means for the debate. Caregivers $725 million for the Caregivers program to support over 36,644 Caregivers Hepatitis $1.5 billion in 2017 - 35,000 treatments in 2017. Women’s Veterans $515 million for gender-specific Women Veterans’ health care Mental Health - $7.8 billion - 1.4 million Veterans Telehealth $1.05 billion - 677,000 Veterans Rural Health $250 million - 3,000,000 veterans Homeless Programs $1.6 billion - 36,000 Veterans The Choice Act provides $5 billion in mandatory funding for VA to hire physicians and other medical personnel and improve VA’s physical infrastructure. The Act also provides $10 billion in mandatory funding to establish a temporary program ("Veterans Choice Program") 13.44 billion dollars (Veterans Choice money used 2016) for 5,112,000 veterans (Under Veteran’s Choice 2016) 10 billion dollars (Under legislation text) for 3,803,000 veterans (Under Bill Text) 5112000 - 3803000 = 1,309,000 veterans
