Scenario 1(Using Lincoln's Logs)Students will be placed at a play table in groups of four. On the table there will be four number cards. The students are supposed to identify the number on the card by placing the correct number of logs next to the corresponding card. Students are free to create any shape using the correct number of logs.Skills Developed1. Recognition of numbers and patterns.2.Arranging objects in a logical order.3.Ability to follow instructions correctly.4.Work with toolsPart B1.Students will be placed individually and will be given a small basket. In this basket they will chose a sand paper card which has different number names written o them. The students will then match the number name to its corresponding digit which will be on the table. This activity develops the students ability to follow instructions correctly and recall information. 2.In addition, students will be given five (5) wooden blocks and would be asked to arrange them according to size, ranging from the smallest to the largest. This activity will develop thestudents ability to work with tools and to arrange objects in a logical order.
