Valeria Valtierra 04OCT2016 7 th period Narcos for New Years You’re probably wondering how I was able to encounter such a wonderful event. It wasn’t that difficult really, but I won’t tell you just yet. First you have to think about how you would react, if you were in my position. Scared. Nervous. Horrified. Well you are really really wrong because the only thing I was feeling was excitement because nothing ever happens to me. I am always the girl that gets told everything because my life isn’t interesting enough. It was a normal day when IT happened. Not the normal day you’re thinking of, with the sun shining and you mention the month because it sounds nice. NO. This was not the situation. My “normal” morning consisted of waking up because of the man walking down the streets yelling “Gelatina” as loud as he could because the money he accumulated from that was what was paying for the roof on his house. After being rudely disrupted from my sleep, I pretend to be asleep so my mom wouldn't send me to the corner store to buy bolillos. It being New Years, many of my family members had traveled to Mexico to came together and celebrate. Who doesn’t love spending quality time with their family? After being with my family for too long I grew tired, even though it had only been 15 minutes. Realizing that I would be spending the rest of the day with them, I tried waking myself up more to prepare myself both physically and mentally.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
