But all new material in this edition of the book that I borrowed was copyrighted in 2003 by Jaico Impression and it has 230 pages. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea begins with a mystery. For more than a year, much the tragedy of the loss of large ships sailing from America towards Europe. At that time many people still believe in the myth of a sea monster that could sink a big ships. Pierre Aronnax, an assistant professor at the Natural History Museum in Paris, developed a theory to explain this confusing incident. He argued that a giant whale that sank the ships. Because of his theory, Aronnax is invited to join the expedition sea using a fast ship named Abraham Lincoln owned by the US government to hunt down and kill the animal. Mr. Aronnax along with his servant named Conseil and a friend who met on the ship, Ned Land, a Canadian whale hunter brought together for hunting skills. In the midst of
