Colligative Properties & Osmotic Pressure Tohnya Carney Introduction: Today I am going to be performing a lab to help understand the differences of freezing points, and boiling points, when a solvent is added in a solution with one in which no solvent is added, and compare the two. Also, osmosis was to be observed to gain a proper understanding of how the principal of dialysis functions. Materials and Methods: Materials used were an aluminum pie pan, distilled water, ice, bowl, corn syrup, lighter, teaspoon, plastic drinking cup, paper towels, table salt, 2 rubber bands, stopwatch, tap water, aluminum cup, burner fuel and stand, dialysis tubing (6 inches), digital scale, funnel, glass beaker (250 ml), graduated cylinder (25ml), gloves, safety goggles, and a thermometer.
