Arellano-1 Adriana Arellano Art 103 Professor Collazo-Anderson October 17, 2016 Writing Assignment #1 The exhibit I choose to see is Diana Simpson’s at Corbett Vs. Dempsey Gallery. At first I choose this exhibit because it was not in the chaos that surrounds downtown Chicago but as I began to look into the artist and research some of her art pieces I was intrigued by the fact that she tries to display the connection of clothing and architecture. The exhibit was her very own and choose to just name it after herself which I feel in sense that she is trying to indirectly say that her art is a part of her. The title of the art piece I choose to observe was Peplum VII. The first reason I chose it was because my favorite color is grey but as I studied it I liked how it was much more modernized than the rest of the pieces around. This piece was made this year which made sense because it included a simplistic feel to it. The piece was made with enamel canvas, colored pencil, crayon, velcro, aluminum grid, and screws.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
