Shaina Hudgel MK120 Exam 2 Ice Cream July 5, 2015 Ice Cream Companies When it comes to ice cream, you can’t really go wrong, no matter the brand. But, after looking at the websites for three major brands of ice cream in the United States, I can see how different the brands really are. After looking over all three websites (Ben and Jerry’s, Haagan Dazs and Blue Bunny), I would more than likely choose Ben and Jerry’s brand ice cream based on the information I found alone. Ben and Jerry’s brand ice cream has a large following. Their website is fun and was created in a way to catch our eyes and hearts. They let us know where we can go to get their ice cream, what charity events they support, that they source their ingredients locally as often as they possibly can. Their website also has articles on what is new with them, from new flavors to factory tours to novelties to values and community news. Ben and Jerry’s focuses on marketing their products to wide range of lifestyles. They try to have a product for everyone. One of the main lifestyles they focus on is that of the community agent. They are big in the community and with charity and want to help when and where they can. They have a large focus in the LGBT community. They provided funding and helped with events to support marriage equality throughout the United States. They also focus on using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible to support local communities. With these

community interests, I believe that the Ben and Jerry’s website better expresses values compared to the Haagan Dazs and Blue Bunny websites.
