Page 1 I. Personal Selling Philosophy Marketing Setting The marketing setting would be held in the building the service being provided is found in. The building would be large without being overly large. It would need to have the capacity to hold about two hundred people minimum, three hundred people maximum. The building would include outdoor play areas, indoor classrooms/playrooms, indoor bathrooms of various sizes to fit various needs in the different classrooms/playrooms and the hallways, a medium to large sized gymnasium, a large commercial style kitchen, a medium sized enclosed office area, a smaller open office area, and a medium sized staff room. The marketing setting described above is for a service that will be provided within that building. The clientele would hear of the service provided through word of mouth, internet ads, T.V. ads and newspaper/magazine ads. The majority of possible clientele would come to the building for a tour style presentation of the service provided which would include a walk-through of the building and a description of each room and what curriculum is performed within it as well as the goals of each room. Service Provided The service being provided is a twenty-four hour, seven days per week educational childcare. This childcare facility offers care for children from six weeks old to twelve years old. The facility will be open twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week to cater to the needs of a diverse work group. For example, many single parent, and even dual parent, households do not conform to the nine to five, Monday through Friday workforce. There is a

Page 2 very large group of people who work first and third shifts and have just as much of a need for childcare as those who work nights and weekends. This service conforms to the Core Curriculum Standards when it comes to the educational side of the childcare. This helps to reinforce educational goals and standards that the children aged four to twelve will be learning at school (both public and private). For those children who are six weeks to four years old, the childcare uses the Core Curriculum Standards to help prepare the children for school. The childcare would also focus on teaching children of all ages necessary life skills that all children should have as they get older, as well as how to interact with their peers and how to handle disagreements at any age.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
