RESEARCH AND SURVEY METHODOLOGY ARTICLE REVIEW FORM Name of Student: ID: Date: Hunzakuts are known for their folklore and storytelling as are most primitive people. They viewed themselves as living in the land of perfect, and they claimed theirs was the perfect society. They were and continue to be very much in denial of their true situation. This attitude is not uncommon among primitive peoples. Arctic explorer Vilhjalmur Stefansson reported a very similar attitude among the primitive Eskimos who had never seen a white man. The Eskimos bragged that their Shaman (religious leader) could kill a bear on the other side of the mountain with a bow and arrow, and that he could travel to the Moon, converse with the people living there and return. The Eskimo considered themselves to be far superior to the white man who admitted to having never been to the moon. This was in 1910 before white man did travel to the Moon, walk on the surface and return, although not finding the people whom the Eskimo claimed lived there. Vegetarian and low meat diet: A high vegetarian, low meat and raw eaten dietary habits was one of the perception behind the longevity of hunzakuts. However the background of such type of consumption of hunzakuts relies on some basic reasons. As mostly the visitors including the British generals and soldiers arrived in the summers which was the peak season of harvesting of many vegetables and fruits as a result they were consuming raw by the habitants. Secondly in order to safe fuel for the cooking and Heating purpose in winters, a very low amount of meat was consumed during summer and thus vegetables were also eaten raw. Winter diet:

the claim for the utilization of a low fat diet by hunzakuts, probably become false after the observation that during peak winters due to the shortage of food they totally rely on a high fat diet which included milk (consisted of 50% of fat), buttermilk, yogurt, butter and cheese. While by the time of spring they totally ran of the fodder for animals and thus these animals being killed and utilized by the starved hunzakuts though this also not being sufficient for the people so they developed many under nutritive diseases and thus died. This in turn proof “the healthy hunza” logo claimed by many researches as the false statement. The vegetarian myth: The hunzakuts were only vegetarians for only two to three months of summer. This is just because they totally rely on animal diet for the rest of the 10 moths during which they consume a high fat diet. A high vegetarian diet could not be suspected as the main reason of false longievity as these dietary habits was also observed in Indians but they were scientifically be proven to have a shortest life span. In accordance Egyptians was also supposed to live on same dietary plan but research done on their mummies claim to have many dental and heart diseases which results due to abundance usage of carbohydrate food.
