Akshat Kohli TA: Yang Tang BUS 107 – 022 The Bendix Corporation Case Analysis Problem Identification: Charles Post was appointed as the vice president of the Bendix Corporation, and as a senior leader he was responsible for the purchases made by the corporation. Over time Post came to realize that the corporations purchasing procedures had never before been fully synchronized. Upon discovering the facts, Post planned to fix the problem by centralizing the purchasing procedures. To put his plan into action, his took his first step by sending out a generic email to all the managers and requested them to comply with the new purchasing procedures. George Wickham, Post’s assistant and another senior leader of the corporation, suggested that Post should meet with all the managers to effectively put the plan into action. However, Post refused the suggestion as he was preoccupied with other company matters that were revolving inside his head.
