Akshat Kohli Mad Ludwig Case Study Problem Identification: Ludwig Fullfeder organized the Fullpeder Pen Company ten years ago and assigned himself as the president and the general manager of all of its operations. Marco Pen Industries soon purchased FullFeder Pen Company. Upon the purchase, Ludwig, suggested to the president of the company that he should make an organizational structure. Ludwig was however accustomed to managing his own affairs and forcibly decided to set up an organizational chart. This chart barely met the minimum and worked for about a year. Ludwig in this time worked about twelve to fourteen hours a day in order to get everything done. He always had to move from one department to another to solve problems since he was the one in charge of everything. A year after this, Ludwig decided that this plan was not working out since there were continuous breakdowns, profits were low ,, and his physician had suggested to him that he needed to slow his work down.
