Guidelines for Doing a BHAG The BHAG provides you with the opportunity to conduct a major change project that demonstrates personal leadership. Operationally, your assignment is to accomplish a clear goal— something that is measurable, that is life-changing, and that you have “always” wanted to do. It is the kind of project that, if given a choice between attending the Colorado-Nebraska football game with 50-yard-line seats, on the one hand, and staying at home to work on your BHAG, on the other, you would chose the latter. There are several steps you need to take to complete your BHAG project for this course. Step 1: Meet with the Professor or TA As you narrow down possibilities for the BHAG or decide what you are going to do, you need to meet with the professor or TA to discuss the project. This meeting will provide you with guidance and direction as you begin working on your BHAG. This meeting should happen during the first three weeks of the semester. We encourage you to meet with us as soon as possible.
