Genetically modified foods, sounds much more intimidating to people who don’t
know what it means, a lot of people may have the idea that it’s bad for our health to
consume GMO foods. But in actuality, GMO’s are nothing to fear and should, in fact be
encouraged.
Increasing production may be a bothersome thought to many, they may believe
we are choosing quantity over quality. People with these views are simply privileged and
ignorant. There are thousands of hungry people whom genetically engineered foods
have saved, increased production is necessary for the population the human race has.
Genetic engineering is only done to benefit the foods, they are made nutrient rich
and in many cases safer to eat. GMO’s are almost never harmful to a consumer.
GMO’s are economically beneficial. Once you understand that there are no
