BICYCLE SAFETY2IntroductionRiding a bicycle can be a lot of fun. Bicycle riding can be for entertainment or physical activities. However there are so many accidents involving bicycle injuries that affect the children. In today’s society prevention is more preferred to treatment. There can be a decrease in the amount of head injuries if safety helmet are worn. According to Cusimano et al (2012) individuals who are below the age of 21 in the United States that ride bicycles are more than 44,000,000 and approximately 22 to 40% of them are children with a head injury and most of thechildren were not wearing helmets at the time of their injury. These injuries are mostly fatal and call be prevented if they were wearing helmets. It has been shown that when bicycle helmets candecrease the risk of head and brain injury by 63 to 88% if the helmet were worn correctly (Cusiamano et al, 2012). Children are at a greater risk than adults for having head injury becausethey are more vulnerable. This paper will discuss an explorer systematic research review the studies and it will describe the findings of the studies that were concluded in a research review.Relevance There are many types of influences that can affect bicycle riders, such as their behavior, attitude, television shows, peer pressure, and even friends and family. Young adults are made aware of the dangers surrounding riding a bicycle without a helmet and yet they are still not compliant. Soares et al (2012) states that if non-compliance is not maintained there will be more fatalities due to a generational influence on one another. Peer pressure seems to be a vicious cycle of this influence. The research question the severity of accident among younger adult
