This simulator is called xspimsal . The purpose of the first exercise is to setup the simulator and understanding its operation. You will also understand how to electronically submit your programming projects. What should I do? 1. Make sure you have an account on the ECE machines. If you don't, get one by contacting the ECE support staff. 2. Type the following commands one after the other at the unix prompt. setup spimsal resoft This will make the simulator accessible to you for the rest of the quarter. You should only do this once. 3.
