Article’s Explanation **** http://blogcritics.org/books/article/book-review-push-by-sapphire/ This article widely illustrates how Precious was able to overcome her horrendous tragedy caused by her own father. There’s some mention of how “metaphors and language are melodious” since it adds to the story a more ghetto setting. The comment of the dialect of the novel aggregates a more descriptive environment in where Precious is living and makes it feel as if it was real * http://www.anovelreview.com/2010/07/book-review-push-by-sapphire.html The article describes how Precious is “self-sufficient”; although she is being abused by both of her parents, she still has some dignity. She lacks support from her parents but independently she tries to overcome and go forward despite the obstacles that have been present in her tough life. Moreover, a generous, respectful teacher of the alternative school she attends, gives her the attention and love that precious needed to be more confident and fight for what she thinks its right to have a better life.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
