TO: Kem Crimmins, Professor FROM: Hollie Corbett, Student DATE: November 18, 2007 SUBJECT: Rhetorical Analysis for Business Packet This memo will provide you with an overview of the letters written in my business packet. I will discuss the scenarios for each letter, as well as the rhetorical strategies used. All of the letters were from Credit And Payment Service and addressed to Mr. Crimmins. This business packet contains the following letters: 1. Sales/Solicitation Letter - In the sales letter, the company Credit And Payment Service, attempts to solicit customers to sign up for a new credit card processing account. The tone of the letter is friendly and informative. I use the company background as the basis for why the company is trustworthy. To lure the customer in, free setup and credit card terminals are offered as an incentive. 2. Fundraising Letter- This is similar to that of the sales letter; however, Credit And Payment Service entices its customers with the kind act of donating its profits to the Make A Wish
