Living a Good Life Neighbor Rosicky really made it clear that to live a fulfilling life you do not have to be rich. Willa Cather did a great job in the story showing that even though this family was not always on the top with money or great crops, they had each other’s love and help to keep going. If you occupy your time on earth with things that you enjoy, you will learn that you do not have to be rich to have a good life. Throughout Neighbor Rosicky , Anton Rosicky shows to his friends and family members that you do not have to be rich to be happy. It was shown once through a flashback when Mr. Rosicky was telling a story about the time he lived in London and worked for a poor German tailor that did not have the money to pay him but let him live above the shop. One evening when Rosicky was hungrier then ever before and the wife of the tailor had prepared a turkey dinner for everyone to enjoy the next day, Rosicky ate it in sleep like state, instead of just taking the blame and leaving it for what it was worth he went out begged for money or food to provide for this family (292). He showed that it’s not shameful to ask for help if you need it to help provide for loved ones. Another time Mr. Rosicky showed happiness at a hard time in life was the hot summer day when he
